Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  7. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2023 - ]

  9. REMOVE INTERCOOLER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  10. DISCONNECT INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER INLET HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the intercooler cooling water inlet hose from the electric water pump assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Put pieces of cloth into the pipes and disconnected hoses or cover the pipes and hoses with plastic bags to prevent foreign matter from entering the electric water pump assembly and cooling system.
      • Do not apply excessive force to the intercooler cooling water inlet hose.

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
  11. REMOVE WATER PUMP BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. for 2WD:
      1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.

      2. Remove the 3 bolts and water pump bracket sub-assembly.
    2. for AWD:
      1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.

      2. Remove the 2 bolts and water pump bracket sub-assembly.
  12. REMOVE ELECTRIC WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and electric water pump assembly from the water pump bracket sub-assembly.
