Removal [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [05/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY WITH BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT DOOR HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME UPPER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR DIVISION BAR SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      "TORX" screw
      Connector
    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
    3. When reusing the front door lock with motor assembly LH:

      1. Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock with motor assembly LH.
  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws as shown in the illustration.

      Open in this Direction
    2. Detach the claws to remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH.

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPEN LEVER LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the front door open lever lock remote control cable from the front door lock with motor assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK / UNLOCK KNOB INSIDE LOCKING CABLE 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the front door lock / unlock knob inside locking cable from the front door lock with motor assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
