Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/ Cool Box)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2015 - 08/2020] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2020 - ]
DISABLE AUTOAWAY/RETURN FUNCTION
1. Disable the autoaway/return function by changing the customize parameter (Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [09/2015 - ] .
  WARNING:
  Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the autoaway/return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.
  
  HINT:
  
  Performing the above operation causes the autoaway/return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column assembly.
3. Turn the engine switch off.
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
PRECAUTION
NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - ] .
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - 08/2019] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ] .
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY
(Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )
REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14
REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

REMOVE METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY (HEADUP DISPLAY)

Remove the cushion.

Remove the 3 bolts.

Disconnect the connector and remove the meter mirror sub-assembly (headup display).
