Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    See step  6

  8. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  7

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 

    See step  9

  10. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  12. DISCONNECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for 2WD) 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the dipstick guide.

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
  14. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

  15. DISCONNECT WATER INLET HOSE 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the water inlet hose.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  17. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts, water inlet housing and gasket.

  18. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

      • SST: 09960-10010 
        1. 09962-01000
        2. 09963-01000
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.
  19. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 9 bolts, engine water pump and gasket.
