Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    1. Remove the 4 clips and cool air intake duct seal.
  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOLDING LH 

    See step  1

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOLDING RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
    1. for 2WD:

      Remove the 2 screws and front wheel opening extension pad LH.

    2. for AWD:

      Remove the 5 screws and front wheel opening extension pad LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

    1. Using a screwdriver, turn the 2 pin hold clips 90° and remove the 2 pin hold clips.
    2. Partially remove the front fender liner LH.

      HINT: 

      It is not necessary to fully remove the front fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper assembly can be removed later.

  10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER 
    1. Put protective tape around the front bumper cover.
    2. Remove the 11 screws and 2 clips.

    3. Remove the front bumper seal bracket.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    4. Detach the 6 claws and guide and disconnect the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:

      Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose.

    6. Disconnect the No. 4 engine room wire connector.
    7. Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors and remove the front bumper cover.

  12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Remove the front bumper energy absorber.

  13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front bumper reinforcement extension LH.
  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

    1. Detach the clamp and remove the cooler thermistor.
    2. w/ Air Suspension:

      Remove the height control filter from the reinforcement.

    3. Remove the 6 bolts and reinforcement.
  16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER 
    1. Remove the front bumper lower absorber.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CROSSMEMBER

    1. Remove the 2 clips.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front suspension lower crossmember.
  18. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

    1. Remove the 3 clips and radiator support opening cover.
  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

    1. Using a screwdriver, turn the clip 90° and remove the clip.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the front bumper side retainer LH.
  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER END RETAINER LH

    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the front bumper end retainer LH.
  22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER END RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
