Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    See step  6

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  7

  6. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 

    See step  9

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Remove the No. 1 radiator hose.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator hose.

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose from the radiator.

      NOTE:

      Place a container under the connection before disconnecting the oil cooler hose because oil in the hose may spill out.

  11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator.

      NOTE:

      Place a container under the connection before disconnecting the oil cooler hose because oil in the hose may spill out.

  12. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  13. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  14. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and detach the claw to disconnect the hood lock control cable cover.

  15. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the lock nut cap and lock nut.

    2. Remove 2 bolts and disconnect the hood lock assembly.
    3. Disconnect the connector.
  16. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS 

    See step  12

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 5 wire harness clamps to disconnect the wire harness.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts and radiator upper support.

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER 
    1. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
    2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control cable cover.
  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the hood lock assembly from the hood lock control cable.
  20. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and separate the cooler condenser from the radiator.

    2. Remove the radiator from the front crossmember together with the fan shroud with fan motor.
      NOTE:

      Do not allow the radiator to interfere with other parts.

  21. REMOVE FAN SHROUD WITH FAN AND MOTOR 

    See step  13

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions.
  23. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT LOWER 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support lowers.
