Disassembly [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 COMBINATION METER BRACKET

    1. Remove the No. 1 combination meter bracket.
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct.
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct.
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

    1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 heater to register duct.
  5. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

    1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 3 heater to register duct.
  6. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 3 screws and defroster nozzle assembly.
  7. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

    1. w/ Ion Generator:
      1. Disconnect the hose from the ion generator sub-assembly.
        TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

        *1 Hose
      2. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 heater to register duct.
    2. w/o Ion Generator:

      Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 heater to register duct.

  8. REMOVE ION GENERATOR SUBASSEMBLY (w/ Ion Generator) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  12. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the automatic light control sensor.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE 
    1. w/o Ion Generator:

      Detach the wire harness clamp and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

    2. w/ Ion Generator:

      Detach the 5 wire harness clamps and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure to remove the No. 1 instrument panel pin on the other side.

    1. Remove the screw and No. 1 instrument panel pin.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 METER HOOD RETAINER

    1. Remove the 2 screws and 2 No. 1 meter hood retainers.
  16. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape
    2. Detach the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
  17. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Detach the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.
