Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE CASE SEPARATOR 
    1. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and case separator.

  6. REMOVE KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the 4 knock control sensor connectors.

      *a for Bank 2 Sensor 1
      *b for Bank 2 Sensor 2
      *c for Bank 1 Sensor 1
      *d for Bank 1 Sensor 2
      Engine Front
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 knock control sensors from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If a knock control sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
