Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the clamp.
*1 Engine Wire - Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire.
- Open the terminal cap.
*1 Terminal Cap *2 Oil Cooler Tube - Remove the nut and disconnect the engine wire from terminal B.
- Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the oil cooler tube.
- Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and engine wire bracket.
*1 Engine Wire Bracket - Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and generator assembly.
- Disengage the clamp.
