Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    1. Remove the bolt, clip and inlet No. 1 air cleaner.
  6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  3

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  9. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support.

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  11. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the reserve tank outlet hose from the water inlet housing.

      *1 Reserve Tank Outlet Hose
      *2 Radiator Reserve Tank Hose
    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator assembly.
    3. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the radiator reserve tank assembly from the fan shroud assembly.
  12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  14. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 4 transmission oil cooler hose from the radiator assembly.

      *1 No. 3 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose
      *2 No. 4 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the oil cooler tube from the fan shroud assembly.
  15. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 2 cooling fan ECU connectors.

    2. Disengage the 6 clamps and disconnect the engine room main wire from the upper radiator support.
  16. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT

    1. Remove the engine room ECU outlet duct from the fan shroud assembly.
  17. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. Disconnect the 2 horn connectors and smog ventilation sensor connector.
    2. Disengage the 5 clamps.

    3. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

  18. SEPARATE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when separating the cooler condenser assembly.

  19. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly from the vehicle.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws.

    3. Disengage the 3 guides and remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  20. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
  21. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.
