Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    1. w/o Navigation System:

      Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2020 - ]

    2. w/ Navigation System:
      NOTE:
      • After performing any of the following procedures, the navigation system may restart after turning the ignition switch to ACC for the first time (due to radio receiver assembly and navigation ECU certification).
        • Disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) terminal of the battery, replacing the battery, or recharging the battery after being discharged.
        • Removing and installing or replacing the radio receiver assembly or navigation ECU.
      • After replacing the radio receiver assembly, if "New software is not compatible with the system. Contact your dealer." is displayed on the multi-display, update the software of the navigation ECU.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2021 - ]

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2021 - ]

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2021 - ]

  6. REMOVE FRONT PANEL GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2021 - ]

  7. REMOVE FRONT PANEL GARNISH RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - ]

  8. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - ]

  9. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Pull the radio receiver assembly with bracket toward the rear of the vehicle and disengage the 4 clips.
    3. Disconnect each connector and remove the radio receiver assembly with bracket.
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE (w/ Navigation System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. w/o Navigation System:
      1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 radio bracket.

    2. w/ Navigation System:
      1. Remove the 5 screws and No. 1 radio bracket.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. w/o Navigation System:
      1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 radio bracket.

    2. w/ Navigation System:
      1. Remove the 5 screws and No. 2 radio bracket.

  13. REMOVE NAVIGATION ECU (w/ Navigation System) 
  14. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
