REMOVAL (To 08/2009): Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
  4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  6. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  7. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ USB Audio System)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 22
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 23
  11. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 24
  12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 34
  13. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 35
  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 37
  15. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector and transmission control switch wire connector.

    3. Disconnect the 3 clamps.
    4. Remove the 4 nuts and shift lever assembly.
    5. Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.

    6. Turn the lock nut counterclockwise. While holding the lock nut, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.
