DTC P3107-214: Airbag ECU Communication Circuit Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM) See step 2

- CLEAR DTC. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to DTC P3107-214 is not output. A DTC P3107-214 is output again. B - Turn the power switch off.

- Check for intermittent problems. Refer toCHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS .

- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR)
- Check the connections of the airbag sensor assembly connectors.

- Check the connections of the airbag sensor assembly connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect connector A58 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Disconnect connector F34 from the airbag sensor assembly.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A58-73 (ABFS) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU and airbag sensor assembly connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A58-73 (ABFS) - F34-14 (GSW2) Power switch off Below 1 Ω Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A58-73 (ABFS) or F34-14 (GSW2) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher - Connect the airbag sensor assembly.
- Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
- Disconnect connector F34 from the airbag sensor assembly.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
