DTC P0343-747: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit High Input: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to DTC P0340 is not output. A DTC P0340 is output. B - Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK IF ENGINE STARTS
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (READY).
- Check if the engine can start.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to The engine can start and DTC P0340 is not output within 10 seconds. A The engine can start and DTC P0340 is output within 10 seconds. B The engine cannot start. HINT:
Waiting is necessary because the detection time for DTC P0340 is about 10 seconds.
- Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) NOTE:
Before disconnecting the connector, confirm that it is properly connected by checking that the locking claws are engaged and that the connector does not pull out.
- Check the connection of the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.

The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact problems.
HINT:
When connecting the connector, insert it with the locking lever in the raised position. Rotate the lever downward and make sure that the connector is pulled into its socket. When the locking lever is in its fully closed position, a click will be heard as its locking claws engage. After the click is heard, pull up on the connector to confirm that it is properly connected.
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- Check the connection of the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.
NOTE:Before disconnecting the connector, confirm that it is properly connected by checking that the locking claws are engaged and that the connector does not pull out.
- Check the connection of the low voltage connector of the inverter with converter assembly.

- Turn the power switch on (IG).

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
- Remove the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
