SKID CONTROL SENSOR (for 2WD): Removal

REMOVE REAR WHEEL
DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
1. Disconnect the connector from the skid control sensor.
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.

REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE REAR DISC (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR
1. Mount the rear axle hub in a vise using aluminum plates.
  NOTE: Replace the hub and bearing assembly if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.

2. Using a pin punch and hammer, drive out the 2 pins and remove the 2 attachments from SST.
  SST 09520-00031 (09521-00010, 09520-00040), 09521-00020
3. Using SST and 2 bolts (Diameter: 12 mm, pitch: 1.5 mm), remove the skid control sensor from the hub and bearing assembly.

  NOTE:
  - Keep the sensor away from magnets.
  - Pull the skid control sensor off straight, taking care not to make contact with the skid control sensor rotor.
  - If the speed sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the hub and bearing assembly.
  - Do not scratch the contact surface of axle hub and the skid control sensor.
  - Do not attach foreign matter to the speed sensor rotor and tip.
