Rear Seat Outer Belt Assembly With PRETENSIONER: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH 
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH 
  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.

    2. Using a molding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover LH

      HINT

      Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

    3. Disengage the 3 clips.
    4. Pass the 2 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
    5. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  14. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly.
