Inspection Procedure
- CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH FUNCTION
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Check that the tire pressure warning light comes on for 3 seconds
- Perform the tire pressure warning reset switch test in Test Mode Procedure (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE
)
Result
RESULT REFERENCEResult Proceed to Reset switch ON Tire pressure warning light comes on. Reset switch OFF Tire pressure warning light blinks.
NG: Go to step 2
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
- Using the satellite switch, check that the switch operates normally in the other modes. (For example: TACH INDICATOR mode)
OK: The satellite switch operates normally.
NG: Go to step 4
OK: Go to next step.
- Using the satellite switch, check that the switch operates normally in the other modes. (For example: TACH INDICATOR mode)
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER)
- Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver J49 connector and combination meter J34 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition J49-4 (CLSW) - J34-15 (INT) Always Below 1 Ω J49-4 (CLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER (See REMOVAL )
- INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
- Disconnect the satellite J16 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

The satellite switch is used as the tire pressure warning reset switch As a result, the inspection above describes inspection of the satellite switch. If a fault is confirmed in the above inspection, replace the satellite switch.
NG: REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH (SATELLITE SWITCH) (See TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH )
OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - SATELLITE SWITCH)
- Disconnect the satellite switch J16 connector and combination meter J35 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
