Tire Pressure Warning System: Initialization
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Lexus IS F. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- DESCRIPTION OF INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization in the following cases
- Before delivery of a new vehicle
- After replacement of the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver*1
- After replacement of a tire pressure warning valve and transmitter*1
*1 Perform initialization after the transmitter ID registration is completed (See REGISTRATION )
- Before initialization
- Set the air pressure of all wheels to the specified value (See TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
).NOTE: Make sure the tires are cooled down.
- Set the air pressure of all wheels to the specified value (See TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
).
- Perform initialization in the following cases
- INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (satellite switch) for 3 seconds or more so that the tire pressure warning light blinks 3 times (1 second on, 1 second off) and "PRESSURE INITIAL" is displayed on the multi-information display
HINT:
Initialization will be completed if the signals are received from all the wheels
- Turn the engine switch off
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Wait for 2 or 3 minutes with the engine switch on (IG).NOTE:
- Initialization is normally completed within 2 to 3 minutes.
- If initialization has not been completed successfully, DTC C2177/77 will be stored in the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver after a vehicle speed of 8 km/h (5 mph) or more is input for 20 minutes or more.
- Initialization can be terminated by connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- CONFIRM INITIALIZATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED
- Check the data of tire pressure of all the wheels are displayed on the Techstream display to confirm that initialization has been completed
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Turn the Techstream on
- Check the Data List Enter the following menus-Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List
