Tire And Wheel System: Inspection

- INSPECT TIRES
- Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure

TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONTire Size Cold tire inflation pressure kPa (kgf/cm2 , psi) Front Rear Front Rear 225/40R19 93Y 255/35R19 96Y 250 (2.5, 36) 250 (2.5, 36) When driving under the above vehicle conditions at sustained high speeds of above 160 km/h (100 mph), in countries where such speeds are permitted by law, inflate the front and rear tires to 310 kPa (3 1 kgf/cm2 , 45 psi) provided that it does not exceed the maximum cold tire inflation pressure molded on the tire sidewall
- Using a dial indicator, check the runout of the tires
Maximum tire runout:
1.0 mm (0.0394 in.)
- Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure
- ROTATE TIRES
- The tire size is different between front and rear and also the wheel design is different between left and right Therefore, a tire rotation cannot be performed on this vehicle.
HINT:
Identification marks are stamped on the back of a spoke of each wheel to indicate the installation position on the vehicle

- INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE
- Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.
Maximum imbalance after adjustment:
8.0 g (0.0176 lb.)
NOTE:- Use a cleaning detergent to remove dirt, oil and water from the surface where the balance weight is to be adhered.
- Do not touch the adhesive surface of the tape.
- Adhere a sticking type balance weight to the flat surface (A) shown in Fig 3.
Width (A):
25 mm (0.984 in.)
- Push the balance weight securely with your finger to adhere it to the position.
- Do not reuse the balance weight.
- Use the LEXUS genuine sticking type balance weights.
HINT.
If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance
- Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.
