Washer Motor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH  (See REMOVAL  )
  5. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE NO. 3 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 front fender liner LH screws

    2. Disengage the engine under cover clip.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, the screw, and the No. 3 air intake duct sub-assembly.

  9. DRAIN WASHER FLUID 
    1. Remove the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump assembly, and drain the washer fluid.

  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect each connector.
    2. Remove the bolt
    3. Pull the upper part of the washer jar and pump upward to remove it from the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts and the windshield washer jar and pump assembly.

  11. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly
