Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR 
    1. Remove the No 1 ultrasonic sensor
    2. Disconnect the No 1 ultrasonic sensor connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S1-2 (S) - S1-1 (E) Always 600 to 1200 kΩ
      NOTE: Set the tester to the 100 kΩ range before performing the measurement.

    NG: REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT SENSOR)  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR) 
    1. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q37-4 (S6) - S1-2 (S) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q37-17 (E6) - S1-1 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q.37-4 (S6) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q37-17 (E6) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      OK (When troubleshooting according to the Problem Symptoms Table) B
      OK (When troubleshooting according to the DTC) C

    B: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )

    C: REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU  (See REMOVAL  )

    A: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
