Room Temperature Sensor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector and air hose
    2. Detach the claw and remove the sensor
