Air Conditioning Amplifier: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (See REMOVAL )

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT 
    1. Remove the screw and No 2 air duct.

  9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector
    2. Remove the screw and air conditioning amplifier assembly
