Rear Door: Removal
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
- Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.
- REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 clips.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- for Long Body:
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Using the clip remover, disengage the 13 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
- Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.

- for Standard Body:
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Using the clip remover, disengage the 11 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
- Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.
- for Long Body:
- REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
- for Long Body:
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Using the clip remover, disengage the 14 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
- Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.
- for Standard Body:
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Using the clip remover, disengage the 12 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
- Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.
- for Long Body:
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
- Detach the claw, disconnect the connector and then remove the light.
- REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Remove the courtesy light assembly.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT MEMORY SWITCH
- Detach the 4 claws, disconnect the connector and then remove the seat memory switch.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER LH
- Remove the screw.
- Using a clip remover, detach the 5 clips and remove the trim cover.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
- Detach the 2 clips.
- Detach the claws and the door frame garnish.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH
- Remove the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 FRAME GARNISH LH
- Detach the claws and remove the frame garnish.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP LH
- Detach the clip and remove the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH.
- REMOVE REAR LH CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
- for Long Body:
- Remove the 10 screws.
- Detach the 4 clips, disconnect the connector and then remove the curtain.
- for Standard Body:
- Remove the 10 screws.
- Detach the 3 clips, disconnect the connector and then remove the curtain.
- for Long Body:
- REMOVE NO. 1 AUTO CURTAIN RAIL BRACKET LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
- Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the curtain rail bracket.
- REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOARD COVER REAR LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
- Remove the 2 screws and side window cover.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP INNER LH
- for Long Body:
- Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- for Standard Body:
- Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- for Long Body:
- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SPEAKER COVER
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 3 screws and rear door speaker cover.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR DOOR ECU LH
- Remove the 2 screws and ECU.
- Disconnect the 3 connectors.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
- Remove the service hole cover.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR DIVISION BAR BRACKET LOWER LH
- Remove the 3 nuts and division bar bracket.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the division bar assembly together with the glass run.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH
- Remove the rear door glass run from the division bar assembly.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH
- Remove the rear door quarter window glass and rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the hole plug.
- Remove the 2 bolts.NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.
- Remove the door glass.
HINT:
Remove the glass upward.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the glass.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING UPPER LH
- REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING LH
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Loosen the 5 belt line screws indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Detach the clip and remove the belt moulding.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW GUIDE SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT LH
- Remove the 2 bolts and rear door window guide sub-assembly front LH.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and regulator.NOTE: Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.
- REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH REAR
- Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.NOTE: Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.
- Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
- w/o Door Closer:
- Disconnect the connector.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 3 screws and door lock.NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.
HINT:
Remove the door lock through the service hole.
- w/ Door Closer:
- Disconnect the connector.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 screws labeled B and 3 screws labeled A.NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.
HINT:
Remove the door lock through the service hole.
- w/o Door Closer:
- REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL LH CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING LH CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, loosen the screw and remove the outside handle cover.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD FRONT
- Detach the 3 claws and remove the pad.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD REAR
- Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket, loosen the screw.
- Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the door No. 3 wire.
- Slide the outside handle frame and door No. 3 wire to remove it.
HINT:
Remove the outside handle frame through the service hole.
- Remove the lock open rod from the outside handle frame.
- REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 3 WIRE
- Disconnect the connector.
- Detach the 2 clips, and remove the door No. 3 wire from the frame.
- REMOVE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (for Rear Door)
- Remove the screw and door electrical key oscillator.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
- Detach the 18 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the cover.
- Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and door check.
HINT:
Remove the door check through the service hole.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the bolts as the door check may fall and become damaged.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WIRE LH
- Disconnect the wire clips.
- Remove the door wire.
