Instrument Panel Safety Pad: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 
    1. Remove the screw and duct.

  2. REMOVE SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 
    1. Remove the screw and duct.

  3. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and nozzle.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and duct.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and duct.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and duct.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 clips and remove the register.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and remove the register.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the register.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  10. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the speaker panel.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the speaker panel.

  13. REMOVE NO.1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and remove the speaker panel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  15. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  16. REMOVE FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE POWER SWITCH
