Front Stereo Component Speaker: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and remove the hole cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.
    2. Disconnect the speaker connector and remove the speaker.
      NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.
