Section 6 (Charging (3UZ-FE)): Generator: Installation

INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the generator with the bolt and 2 nuts.
  HINT:
  
  Install the bolt and 2 nuts in alphabetical order.
  
  Torque: 39 N*m (398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf) for bolt A and nut B
  
  15.5 N*m (158 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) for nut C

2. Install the ground cable with bolt D.
3. Install the battery cable with the nut, and then attach the rubber cap.
  Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
4. Install the bracket with the bolt.
  Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)
5. Connect the cable to the generator.

INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET
1. Install the inlet with the bolt.
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE RH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the cover with the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
