Plate, Carrier: Removal

  1. Remove trim panel. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the fasteners (2) and separate the wire harness (1) from the carrier plate.
  3. Disconnect the door glass from the window regulator and secure in the full up position using tape or other suitable tool. Refer to GLASS, DOOR, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the exterior door handle,

    Refer to HANDLE, INTERIOR, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the fastener (3) located beneath the exterior door handle.

  6. Remove the door latch fasteners (1) from the inner door (2).

  7. Disconnect the exterior mirror wire harness connector.
  8. Separate the wire harness from the carrier plate as necessary to gain enough slack in the harness to remove the carrier plate (2) from the door.
  9. Remove the carrier plate fasteners (1).
  10. Remove the carrier plate (2) from the door (3).
  11. Disconnect and release the remaining wire harness connectors.
