Removal And Installation: Installation

- Using a suitable tool, retract the brake caliper piston into the caliper housing.
- On the brake pad contacting surfaces, grease the brake caliper and adaptor.
- Position the outer brake pad (2) to the caliper adaptor as shown.
- Position the inner brake pad (1) to the caliper adaptor as shown.
- Position the brake caliper to the caliper adaptor. Tighten the caliper to caliper adaptor bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Pump the brake pedal several times to set the brake pads to the caliper and brake rotor.CAUTION:
When NEW brake pads have been installed, keep in mind that braking effectiveness might be somewhat reduced during the first brake applications following installation.
- Check and adjust the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
- Road test the vehicle and perform several stopping maneuvers to wear off any foreign material, and seat the brake pads.
