2.2L Diesel Secondary

- If removed, using a NEW
gasket install EGR cooler manifold (1c). Tighten the bolts (1b) and the nuts (1a) to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install a NEW
gasket seal (1) onto the EGR cooler manifold.
- Install the low pressure EGR cooler (1a). Tighten the nuts (1b) to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Using a NEW gasket, install the EGR cooler inlet tube and securely tighten the clamp.
- Install the right side Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose. Refer to the appropriate service article
.
- Connect the low pressure EGR cooler temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Install the low pressure EGR air flow control valve. Refer to VALVE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) AIRFLOW CONTROL, INSTALLATION .
- Install the AC compressor. Tighten the bolts to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)/Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Refer to FILTER, DIESEL PARTICULATE, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
