Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Airflow Control: Installation

- Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.
- Install a NEW
O-ring seal (1) onto the intake manifold.
- Connect the EGR airflow control valve wire harness connector (1).
- Install the EGR airflow control valve (2). Tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Inspect the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) air tube (1) O-ring seal (2) and replace as necessary.
- Install the CAC air tube (2) to the EGR air flow control valve. Tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Inspect the CAC air tube (1) O-ring seal (2) and replace as necessary.
- Install the CAC air tube (3) and install the clip (2).
- Install the CAC air tube nut (1) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service article .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
