2.2L Diesel Primary

- If removed, using NEW
gaskets, install the EGR valve (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- If removed, using a NEW
O-ring seal, install the water delivery pipe on to cooler and securely tighten the screw.
- If removed, install the Differential Pressure Sensor (DPS) tubing and securely tighten the screws (1).
- Using NEW
gasket, install the EGR cooler complete with studs and securely tighten.
- Install the bolts (1a) and nuts (1b) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DIESEL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the DPS hoses to the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)/Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and tighten the clamps (1).
- Connect the EGR valve wire harness connector (1).
- Install the DPS sensor (2) and securely tighten the nut (1).
- Connect the DPS sensor wire harness connector (3).
- Connect the two PCM wire harness connectors (1) to the PCM (2) and lock.
- Install the thermostat. Refer to THERMOSTAT, INSTALLATION .
- Install the battery. Refer to BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to ADDING ADDITIONAL COOLANT .
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service article .
