Knuckle, Rear: Installation

- If necessary, install the hub and bearing in the knuckle. Refer to HUB AND BEARING, INSTALLATION .
- Position the knuckle to the trailing arm link (3), then install the four trailing link to knuckle mounting bolts (4) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the toe link (1) to the knuckle. Refer to LINK, SPRING, INSTALLATION .
- Install the camber link (2) to the knuckle. Refer to LINK, SPRING, INSTALLATION .
- Install the spring. Refer to SPRING(S), INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support from the spring link.
- Install the brake rotor and brake caliper assembly. Refer to REAR BRAKE ROTOR, INSTALLATION
.NOTE:
Always install a NEW hub nut. The original hub nut is one-time use only and must be discarded when removed.
- If equipped with halfshaft, install a NEW
hub nut and while a helper applies the brakes, tighten the nut to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the shock absorber (1) to the knuckle. Refer to SHOCK ABSORBER, SUSPENSION, INSTALLATION .
- Install wheel speed sensor (5) to knuckle.
- Install the rear wheel speed sensor bolt (6) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TORQUE .
- Install the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
