Hub And Bearing: Installation

- Slide the hub and bearing onto the half shaft (if equipped) and install into the knuckle.
- Install four NEW
hub and bearing mounting bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install wheel speed sensor (5) to knuckle.
- Install the rear wheel speed sensor bolt (6) and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TORQUE
.NOTE:
Always install a NEW hub nut. The original hub nut is one-time use only and must be discarded when removed.
- Install the rear brake rotor. Refer to REAR BRAKE ROTOR, INSTALLATION .
- Install a NEW hub nut and while a helper applies the brakes, tighten the nut to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Pump the brake pedal several times to ensure the vehicle has a firm brake pedal before moving the vehicle.
