Pipe, Exhaust CROSSUNDER: Removal: 2.4L

WARNING:
The normal operating temperature of the exhaust system is very high. Therefore, never attempt to service any part of the exhaust system until it is cooled. Special care should be taken when working near the catalytic converter. The temperature of the converter rises to a high level after a short period of engine operation time.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the front and rear skid plates if equipped.
- Remove the belly pan if equipped.
- Remove the exhaust resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .
- Remove the rear engine insulator and bracket. For 2.4L, refer to INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNT, REAR, REMOVAL, 2.4L . For 3.2L, refer to INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNT, REAR, REMOVAL, 3.2L . .
- Remove the cross-under pipe isolator bolts (1).
- Remove the flange nuts (4) and flange gasket (5). Discard the gasket.
- Remove the pipe support bolt (3).
- Remove the cross-under pipe (2) from the vehicle.
