Section 534 (Suspension System (Service Information)): Front: Knuckle: Installation

- Install the knuckle (1) to the vehicle.
- Install the lower ball joint into the knuckle.
- Install the lower ball joint nut. Tighten the nut to 81 N.m (60 ft. lbs.).
1 - UPPER CONTROL ARM 2 - UPPER BALL JOINT 3 - KNUCKLE 4 - UPPER BALL JOINT NUT - Install the upper ball joint (2) into the knuckle (3)
- Install the upper ball joint nut (4). Tighten the nut to 81 N.m (60 ft. lbs.).
1 - KNUCKLE 2 - CLEVIS BRACKET AND BUSHING 3 - STABILIZER LINK - Install the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle. (Refer to STEERING/LINKAGE/TIE ROD END - INSTALLATION)

1 - WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WIRE 2 - NUT 3 - HUB/BEARING - Install the hub/bearing (3), Tighten to 136 N.m (100 ft. lbs.). (Refer to SUSPENSION/FRONT/HUB/BEARING - INSTALLATION) .
- Install the axle shaft nut. Tighten the nut to 135 N.m (96 ft. lbs. if equipped with four wheel drive).
- Install the wheel speed sensor (2). (Refer to BRAKES/ELECTRICAL/FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR - INSTALLATION)

1 - ROTOR 2 - O-RING - Install the disc brake rotor (1). (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/ROTORS - INSTALLATION)

1 - CALIPER ADAPTER 2 - KNUCKLE 3 - CALIPER ADAPTER BOLTS 4 - ROTOR - Install the caliper adapter (1). (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPER ADAPTER - INSTALLATION) .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. (Refer to TIRES/WHEELS/WHEELS - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Perform wheel alignment (Refer to SUSPENSION/WHEEL ALIGNMENT - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
