Removal - Left Side

- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the battery (Refer to ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/BATTERY - REMOVAL) .
- Unclip the power center and move it to the side out of the way.
- Remove the battery tray (Refer to ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/TRAY - REMOVAL) .
- Disconnect the battery temperature sensor from the battery tray.
- Remove the four upper shock mounting nuts.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the left tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove the lower bolt at the lower control securing the clevis bracket.
- Remove the stabilizer link (Refer to SUSPENSION/FRONT/STABILIZER LINK - REMOVAL) .
- Remove the lower ball joint nut.
- Separate the lower ball joint from the lower control arm using tool C-4150A.
- Rotate the lower control arm downward to allow access.
- Remove the clevis bracket at the shock.
- Remove the shock assembly from the vehicle. See Fig 1
- Remove the spring from the shock (if needed).
