Check Strap: Removal

Remove the swing gate trim panel. (Refer to BODY/SWING GATE/TRIM PANEL - REMOVAL) .
Remove the quarter trim panel. (Refer to BODY/INTERIOR/QUARTER TRIM PANEL - REMOVAL) .
Remove the bolts attaching the check strap to the d-pillar. See Fig 1.
Peel back the waterdam.
Remove the nuts and remove the check strap from the swing gate.
