Installation - Timing Belt Outer Cover

  1. Install timing belt outer cover seal and cover. Torque 3 mm bolts to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.). See Fig 1.
  2. Install vibration damper (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/VIBRATION DAMPER - INSTALLATION) .
  3. Install the power steering pump pulley.
  4. Install cooling fan support (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - INSTALLATION) .
  5. Install accessory drive belt (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - INSTALLATION) .
  6. Install cooling fan and fan drive viscous clutch assembly. Refer to RADIATOR - FAN - VISCOUS .
  7. Install engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER .
  8. Connect negative battery cable.
