Internal Vacuum Pump: Installation

NOTE:
Verify the 3 blades on the vacuum pump are in place and correctly assembled. The tapered edge should be on the outer side. Make sure the pump rotates before installation.
- Lubricate vacuum pump components and install in engine block. See Fig 1. Torque bolts to 10.8 N.m (96 in. lbs.).
- Install crankshaft sprocket. Torque bolts to 10.8 N.m (96 in. lbs.).
- Install front engine cover (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/ENGINE COVER - INSTALLATION) .
1 - SPECIAL TOOL # 6958 2 - WRENCH - Install front crankshaft hub. Torque bolt to 304 N.m. (203 ft. lbs.). See Fig 2.
- Install timing belt inner cover (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .
- Install timing belt (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - INSTALLATION) .
- Install timing belt outer cover (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .
- Install vibration damper (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/VIBRATION DAMPER - INSTALLATION) .
- Install cooling fan support (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - INSTALLATION) .
- Install accessory drive belt (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - INSTALLATION) .
- Install cooling fan and fan drive viscous clutch assembly. Refer to RADIATOR - FAN - VISCOUS .
- Connect negative battery cable.
