Engine Cover - Front: Installation

- Clean engine block and front engine cover sealing surfaces.
- Apply a continuous 3 mm bead of Silicone Sealer to cover, install within 10 minutes. Torque bolts to 11.8 N.m (104 in. lbs.). See Fig 1.
1 - SPECIAL TOOL # 6958 2 - WRENCH - Install crankshaft hub. Using special tool # 6958, torque bolt to 304 N.m. (203 ft. lbs.). See Fig 2.
- Install timing belt inner cover (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .
- Install timing belt (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - INSTALLATION) .
- Install timing belt outer cover (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .
- Install vibration damper (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/VIBRATION DAMPER - INSTALLATION) .
- Install cooling fan support (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - INSTALLATION) .
- Install accessory drive belt (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - INSTALLATION) .
- Install cooling fan and fan drive viscous clutch assembly. Refer to RADIATOR - FAN - VISCOUS .
- Connect negative battery cable.
