Test 6A - No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal (DTC 13)

NOTE:
Perform TEST 2A

. Perform TEST 3A - VERIFICATION TEST
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Raise and support vehicle. Connect scan tool to engine Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, monitor vehicle speed. Start engine and allow wheels to rotate at idle in Drive. If vehicle speed does not operate correctly, see appropriate article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If vehicle speed operates correctly, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM). Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, monitor vehicle speed sensor.
- Connect and disconnect (3-5 times) jumper wire between terminals No. F1 and F8 on TCM connector. If scan tool display reading changes, replace TCM. If scan tool display reading does not change, repair open vehicle speed sensor circuit.
