Test 18A - No Response

NOTE:
Perform TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

. Perform TEST 3A - VERIFICATION TEST
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM). Use external ohmmeter. Measure resistance between terminal No. F2 on TCM connector and terminal No. 5 on body DLC connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open SCI transmit circuit.
- Measure resistance between terminal No. F3 on TCM connector and terminal No. 1 on body DLC connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open SCI receive circuit.
- Use external voltmeter. Measure and record voltage between ground and terminal No. E8 on TCM connector. Measure and record voltage between ground and terminal No. F8 on TCM connector. If both voltage readings are 10 volts or greater, replace TCM. If both voltage readings are less than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Use external ohmmeter. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. E8 on TCM connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair fused B+ circuit for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open fused B+ circuit.
