Test 15A - Repairing VTA Disarm Sense Right Door Circuit

NOTE:
Perform TEST 1A before proceeding.
- Turn ignition to ON position. Using DRB, read door key cylinder switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to TEST 15B . If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, disconnect right front door switch connector. Inspect connector, clean and repair as needed. Connect jumper wire across both terminals of connector and go to next step.
- Using DRB, read door key cylinder switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace right front door key cylinder switch. Perform TEST VER-1A . If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Connect jumper wire between right front door switch connector terminal No. 2 (Violet/Yellow wire) and ground. Using DRB, read door key cylinder switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, repair open in right front door switch ground circuit (Black wire). Perform TEST VER-1A . If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Without disconnecting VTA module connector, using a jumper wire backprobe VTA module connector terminal No. 4 (Violet/Yellow wire) to ground. Using DRB, read door key cylinder switch status. If DRB displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, repair VTA module open disarm sense circuit (Violet/Yellow wire). Perform TEST VER-1A . If DRB does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace the VTA module. See VEHICLE THEFT ALARM MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform TEST VER-1A .
