Test NS-6C - Correcting No Response Condition

NOTE:
Perform TEST NS-6A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
- Disconnect fuel pump connector and oxygen sensor connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of fuel pump relay output circuit at fuel pump relay connector terminal "D" (Dark Green/Black wire on XJ and YJ bodies or Orange/Dark Blue wire on ZJ body). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in fuel pump relay output.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of oxygen sensor relay output circuit at oxygen sensor connector terminal No. 4 (Dark Green/White wire on XJ body, Dark Green/Orange wire on YJ body, or Orange/Dark Blue wire on ZJ body). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace fuel pump. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace oxygen sensor.
