Verification Test VER-1A No Start Verification

  1. Inspect vehicle to ensure all engine components are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary. Inspect engine oil for fuel contamination. Change oil and filter if necessary. Attempt to start engine.
  2. If engine does not start, check if any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) apply to vehicle. Return to TEST TC-1A  if necessary.
  3. If engine starts and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) was changed, using scan tool, erase trouble codes. Repair is now complete.
  4. If engine starts and PCM was not changed, connect scan tool to data link connector and erase trouble code messages. Repair is complete.
