DTC Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check the steering clutch. Refer to Component Inspection .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Steering clutch is malfunctioning. Replace steering clutch assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .

1. 1. Disconnect steering force control module connector and steering clutch connector.
   2. Check the continuity between steering force control module harness connector and steering clutch harness connector.

   3. Check the continuity between steering force control module harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning component.

1. CONSULT
   1. Replace steering clutch assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
   2. Start the engine.
      CAUTION:

      Never drive the vehicle.

   3. Select "TORQUE SEN MAIN 1" in "Data Monitor" mode of "EPS/DAST 3".
   4. Check that the value is within standard value while steering the steering wheel.

      Monitor item	Standard value(Approx.)
      TORQUE SEN MAIN 1	-0.9 N.m ≤ TORQUE SEN MAIN 1 ≤ 0.9 N.m

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

GO TO 4.

1. CONSULT
   1. Replace steering force control module. Refer to Removal and Installation .
   2. Start the engine.
      CAUTION:

      Never drive the vehicle.

   3. Select "TORQUE SEN MAIN 1" in "Data Monitor" mode of "EPS/DAST 3".
   4. Check that the value is within standard value while steering the steering wheel.

      Monitor item	Standard value(Approx.)
      TORQUE SEN MAIN 1	-0.9 N.m ≤ TORQUE SEN MAIN 1 ≤ 0.9 N.m

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace steering gear assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
