Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high pressure coolant escaping from the radiator.

CAUTION: To prevent a burns, perform these steps after the coolant temperature has cooled sufficiently.

NOTE: When removing components such as hoses, tubes etc., cap or plug openings to prevent ATF/engine coolant from spilling.

Remove air cleaner case (LH). Refer to Exploded View .
Remove engine under cover and engine under cover rear with a power tool. Refer to Exploded View .
Drain A/T fluid. Refer to Changing .
Remove fluid hose A and fluid hose B.
Remove exhaust mounting bracket with power tool. Refer to Exploded View .
Remove A/T fluid cooler tube mounting bolts and bracket.
Remove suspension member stay. Refer to Exploded View .
Remove the clips and bands fixing two A/T fluid cooler tubes.
Remove the A/T fluid cooler tubes one at a time from the vehicle.
CAUTION: Be careful not to bend A/T fluid cooler tubes.

NOTE: Cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
Remove water hose A and water hose B.
Remove water hose assembly.
Remove fluid warmer.
Remove bracket and water pipe assembly.
Remove thermo valve.
