System Inspection: Notes

Check Control Oil Level
Inspection Condition Inspection Procedure Reference
  1. Engine "ON".
  1. Engine "ON" and Increase the temperature of the control oil by 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F). (Refer to Fig.1)
  2. Drive the vehicle forward and reverse at least once.
  3. Move to level ground to keep vehicle level.
  4. Key off and Remove the air cleaner assembly and check for signs of leakage on the outside of the transmission.
  5. Engine "ON" and "P" gear engagement.
  6. Remove the filler plug (A). (Refer to Fig.2)
  7. Measure the oil level by inserting a suitable tool (A) into the filler plug hole. (Refer to Fig.3 to 4)
    • Good: 110 to 120 mm (4.3 to 4.7 in)
    • Lack: 120 to 140 mm (4.7 to 5.5 in): refill the control oil.
    • No Good: More than 140 mm (5.5 in): replace the transmission.

    Oil injection volume

    • Control oil: 2.45L
    • Gear oil: 3.3L
