Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  2. Squeeze the plastic retainer tabs on the inlet hose.

  4. Pull the connection apart.

  6. Squeeze the plastic retainer tabs on the outlet hose.

  8. Pull the connection apart.

  10. Remove the auxiliary heater pipes (1, 2) from the heater inlet and outlet tees (3, 4).
  11. Remove both of the right tires. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  12. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement - Rear .
  13. Remove the right front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .

  15. Remove the auxiliary heater pipes (2, 3) from the auxiliary heater core.

  17. Remove the heater/A/C tubes retaining nut (4) from the stud (1) at the frame (6).
  18. Remove the auxiliary heater pipes (2) from the clamps (5).
  19. Remove the auxiliary heater pipes from the vehicle.
